GDC specializes in the drafting of contracts used in the construction industry which includes contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, GCC, Bespoke as well as Subcontract Agreements and Consultancy Agreements.
GDC also assists clients in contract management and the resolution of disputes during the construction programme which includes, but is not limited to disputes surrounding claims for extensions of time and adjustments to the contract price. GDC assists clients with the above by utilizing sound and thorough contract interpretation so that constructions projects are not unduly delayed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Gerhard Dreyer serves as a Legal Consultant, specialising in Insurance, Construction and Commercial law. He assists clients with insurance related claims, contractual matters relating to construction projects and general commercial transactions. Gerhard has a wealth of knowledge in insurance and delictual law and is a seasoned litigant having previously served as a Litigation Consultant for one of South Africa’s prominent insurers. His knowledge and experience relating to FIDIC, JBCC, NEC, GCC, Bespoke and general commercial contracts is also a tremendous benefit to his clients. Gerhard has also completed the Advanced Dispute Resolution course which is presented by AFSA (Arbitration Foundation of South Africa) in association with the Enterprises faculty of the University of Pretoria, certifying him as an accredited mediator and arbitrator.
